While some accused a person known as "Jeanue," supposedly the person responsible for hacks in the first Titanfall, it seems that a different group named "Remnant Fleet" was to blame. During this period, the hackers used their control over the game to advertise a website supposedly made to help save Titanfall. The issues escalated to such a height that at one point the hackers had even managed to make the battle royale unplayable for a short duration of time. While problems with hackers have been an issue for Respawn since at least 2018 with the original Titanfall, they have ramped up in recent months, impacting the company's more recent title Apex Legends. These attacks have rendered these games unplayable for much of their communities at times. While the developers seem to have gained control of the situation for now, it has been revealed what party was behind these attacks in the first place.
